Just one coat of Nu Era Tec protective marine coatings should be
sufficient for most applications.

How much mixing time is
required?
The right mixing is the key to a good film and strong bonds. 2 - 3
minutes of aggressive mixing, swiping the sides and bottoms is
recommended. Use a variable speed drill with 450-500 RPM with a 2"
- 4" rotary mixer. depending on the amount being mixed.

Should I
wear gloves during mixing and application?
We recommend the use of latex gloves or other skin protection during
mixing and application. Protective eyewear is also appropriate.
For spills, use denatured alcohol to wash skin followed by soap and
water.

Is there a recommended temperature for mixing and application?
For coating mixtures, we recommend a temperature between 50° - 90° F
range.

What is
the shelf life of Nu Era Tec marine coatings?
The shelf life of an unopened container is one year. An improperly
closed container with unused resin may have a shelf life of 6 months.

What
surface preparation is needed prior to application?
All surfaces should be clean and dry. Any surface contamination
such as rust, oil, grease, dirt or pooled water should be removed.
A light sand blasting or machine sanding is recommended. Do not
use acetone or solvent to clean surface. Use denatured alcohol or
soap and water.

What is the coverage from one gallon of Nu Era Tec coatings?
Depending on the application technique, you can cover from 80 to 100 sq.
ft at 10 to 12 ml.
